80 puppies rescued from overturned bus

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A couple of good samaritans managed to be at the right place at the right time during the chaos that ice caused the roads Saturday morning.

The accident happened along I-865 when the bus lost control and flipped from the icy road conditions.

David Peck and his co-worker Austin Swaim were on their way back to St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital when they came across the bus.

The two sprung into action, as they pulled over to assist.

They were soon met with crates full of puppies.

The bus belonged to an animal rescue group.

The human occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries.
