More ice Saturday night into Sunday morning

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Spotty icy spots will likely be an issue again Saturday night into Sunday morning.

A winter weather advisory remains in effect for most of central Indiana until Noon Sunday.

Our concern will be for another batch of freezing rain and sleet that will change to snow Saturday night into Sunday morning.  Air temperatures along with surface temperatures will be below freezing at that time, allowing for rain to freeze on contact on untreated surfaces.  In addition to that problem, temperatures will be cooling very quickly, which could allow for a flash freeze – or wet pavement that freezes quickly.

Additional ice accumulation could reach up to 0.10”.

Be aware of rapidly changing road conditions throughout the night.
