3 dead, including 1 teenager following chaotic weekend conditions

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Three people are now dead following a weekend of extreme conditions in central Indiana.

The first crash was a multi-vehicle accident that killed 16-year-old Kiara Aguilar.

It occurred on I-65 northbound near the 106 mile marker.

That crash is still under investigation.

The second fatal crash happened on I-70 westbound near Shadeland Avenue, killing Reuben Cordova De La Cruz.

When authorities arrived on scene, they found extensive damage to the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle. No other vehicles were present.

No other details are known and the investigation remains ongoing.

The third occurred overnight Friday, when the passenger of a Ford Taurus was ejected from their vehicle following another crash on I-65 near the 106.1 mile marker.

The victim was transported to the hospital where they later died.

No victim information is known at this time.

From 8:00 p.m. Friday to 11:00 a.m. Sunday, the Indianapolis State Police answered close to 1100 calls pertaining to the weather conditions in the counties of Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Hendricks and Boone.
