Downtown restaurant reopens after roof collapse

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A popular downtown Indianapolis bar and restaurant has reopened after its roof collapsed over the weekend.

According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, a small portion of the roof of an interior wall collapsed at The Eagle in the 300 block of Massachusetts Avenue.

An IFD captain says the weight of the water on the roof was too much. Everyone inside at the time managed to escape without injury.

The incident happened just before 3 p.m. Saturday.
