Person shot, killed on west side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – One person has been shot and killed on the city’s west side Friday evening.
The fatal shooting happened just after 5:30 p.m. in the 5800 block of Rockville Road.
The victim was found suffering from a gunshot wound in a room at the Motel 6 in the area.
After hearing a disturbance in the motel, police performed a welfare check and the victim was discovered in the room. Responding medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The shooting was later ruled accidental by IMPD.
