Recipes for a healthy mom: what to eat while you’re pregnant

Bringing new life into this world is one of the most exciting times for a mother.  It also takes a lot of energy and resources from the body to create that new little baby.  Audrey Barron from Ezra’s Enlightened Café talks about some foods and herbs that can help nourish mama and baby, helping to ensure vibrant health for both!

  • Organic is so important – you don’t want harmful chemicals in the blood stream when pregnant and growing a baby!
  • Keeping sugar at bay – cravings can arise when pregnant.  It’s also a time that can be easy to become pre-diabetic.  If you are craving sugar, go for the natural stuff – fresh fruits, dried fruits, and use maple syrup or honey in place of white sugar.
