Refreshing spring cocktails

Gathering at your house for Easter? Or Mother’s Day, or any spring get-together? Treat your friends and family to these light and refreshing cocktails made with Cardinal Spirits — they are easy to make at home and don’t require a million ingredients. Think: Spring in a glass!

Co-Founder Adam Quirk says, “Some of our favorite spirits to use in cocktails this time of year are Flora, liqueur made with flowers and raspberries, and Bramble, a vodka made with black raspberries and hibiscus. Both are so flavorful on their own, you don’t need to add much more to them to make amazing cocktails!”

BRAMBLE MULE
Makes 1 cocktail

1.5 ounces Cardinal Spirits Bramble
1/2 ounce fresh squeezed lime juice
Ginger beer, to taste
Lime wedge, for garnish

Add Bramble and lime juice to a copper mug, then fill with ice. Fill with ginger beer and garnish with lime wedge.

Notes about Bramble: We infuse our award-winning Vodka with loads of black raspberries – one of the few fruits native to Indiana. FLORA SPRITZER

Makes 1 cocktail

1.5 ounces Cardinal Spirits Flora

1/2 ounce lemon juice

Club soda, to taste

Lemon wheel, for garnish

In a tall glass, add Flora and lemon juice, then fill glass with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon wheel.

Notes about Flora: We use real elderflowers, jasmine blossoms, hibiscus and fresh raspberries — never any extracts or coloring — to give this liqueur its lovely floral profile. A splash of Flora takes many cocktails from good to great.
