The Indiana State Fair announced that this year’s theme will be “The Wonderful World of Food.” The fair runs from Aug. 4-20 and starts off with the spotlight on deep-fried foods, but there are also special days celebrating food on a stick, funnel cakes, turkey legs and other favorites.

 

The popular Canadian donut and coffee shop chain Tim Horton’s announced it will open a store here on the Westside at 8301 Rockville Road.

 

A new winery is opening in McCordsville. Daniel’s Family Vineyard and Winery hosts its grand opening April 30.

 

Chef Dan’s Southern Comfort has closed its Irvington restaurant but is still operating its popular food truck and catering operation.

 

Restaurateur Martha Hoover has opened her latest: Bar One Fourteen, a micro-bar, dining space and listening room, is open at 114 E. 49th St. And construction has started on her Crispy Bird fried chicken spot across the street as well.
