Women’s Health Week: The health checks ladies should be making

Summer is just around the corner, which makes May the perfect time for women to assess their own health. Joining us today with timely summer health tips for women is Dr. Yael Varnado, a practicing physician at John’s Hopkins, Founder of askdrv.com and the non-profit, Get Checked 4 Life.

Dr. V explains why Women’s Health Week (May 14-20) and other celebrations during the month of May can be a spring board for inspire women to make health changes.  The US Department of Health and Human Services points out that heart disease, breast cancer, osteoporosis, depression and autoimmune diseases are the top five health issues facing women.
