Hospital hosts wheelchair race in anticipation of Indy 500
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — There’s a different racing tradition in town, and it’s something you’ve never seen before.
Community Rehab Hospital hosted a wheelchair race.
Patients and staff competed in their own version of the Indy 500. Patients even decorated their wheelchairs to celebrate.
Of course, each winner got a trophy, flowers and a glass of milk.
It’s the third year for this race at the hospital.
