Verizon expected to lay off more than 2,000 employees

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Verizon is expected to lay off more than 2,000 employees as part of the deal to buy Yahoo.

That number is more than double of the original estimates.

Verizon plans to combine Yahoo with AOL, which it bought a year or so ago and there is overlap in those jobs.
