Racers ‘Outrun the Sun’ for a cause
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — You normally see runners start their races early in the morning.
Saturday’s race happened a little bit later than usual.
It was a race to Outrun the Sun. The runners started at 6 p.m. in Lawrence.
24-Hour News 8’s Drew Blair emceed and raced — photojournalist Kevin Stinson ran, too!
The race started at a unique time because it’s a race against melanoma, a type of skin cancer.
It serves as a fundraiser for cancer education and research…and also promoted skin health safety.
