Body recovered following search for missing kayaker in Putnam County
GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — A body was found Monday morning following the search of a missing kayaker in Putnam County.
The kayaker went missing Saturday night and has since been identified as 29-year-old Timothy Wells.
He was located Monday morning just before 8:30 a.m. 600 yards downstream from the low head dam after going missing at Big Walnut Creek Saturday at 7 p.m. Water levels had dropped two feet since Wells had been reported missing.
There were searches in place Saturday and Sunday.
An autopsy is set for 3:30 p.m. Monday.
