Man shot dead on city’s near north side
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Officials are investigating after a man was found dead Wednesday afternoon.
It happened just before 12:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 29th Street when officers responded to reports of a body that had been in an alley.
Upon arrival, they found a man was dead on scene and had suffered from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim has since been identified as 35-year-old Clarence Smith.
The shooting remains under investigation.
