Center for Black Literature opens at downtown library

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Center for Black Literature and Culture opened Saturday at the Indianapolis Central Library.

A large crowd gathered for Saturday’s event.

The center celebrates those born of African roots.

Guests can expect interactive displays, books and stories of African Americans with Indiana roots.

Roland Martin, editor of News One Now, provided the keynote address.

The center is now open to the public.
