Woman arrested after allegedly attempting to bring drugs into Putnamville prison

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (WISH) — One woman is now in custody after officials said she attempted to smuggle drugs into the Putnamville Correctional Facility.

It happened Saturday when Tonisha Glover had planned to visit an inmate when she was interrupted by investigators and brought in for questioning. During questioning, Glover turned over over three grams of heroin and 36 strips of Suboxone.

The inmate Glover was attempting to visit was in jail on drug related charges.

Glover faces preliminary charges of attempting to traffic with an inmate, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a schedule 4 controlled substance.

She was taken to the Putnam County Jail.
