Police ask for help identifying robbery suspect

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is searching for a robbery suspect and are asking for the public’s assistance identifying him.

 According to IMPD, on Aug. 16 at 1:15 a.m., a the suspect entered the Speedway gas station in the 6300 block of Rockville Road.

The suspect then proceeded to rob the establishment while implying that he had a weapon in his possession. However, a gun was never seen during the robbery.

Following the robbery, the suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle with an undetermined amount of money.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 40s, between 5’11” and 6′ tall with gray or partially gray hair. At the time of the robbery, the man was wearing glasses, a gray Colts hat, a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes.
