Karen Pence to visit art therapist at IU Health facility

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Second lady Karen Pence on Thursday will visit with an extension of the art therapy program of the Herron School of Art and Design at the IU Health Neuroscience Center.

She will be in Indianapolis while her husband talks with business people in Plainfield about a federal tax changes set to be unveiled by Senate Republicans.

A news release from the White House said, “The visit will introduce Mrs. Pence to an innovative collaboration between Herron and the IU School of Medicine Department of Neurology. Mrs. Pence will meet with an art therapist who leads the program to learn more about how they are using art therapy to treat patients with neurological issues. The Second Lady will also meet with patients.”

Karen Pence was expected to arrive shortly before 5 p.m. at the center, 355 W. 16th St.
