Gym named in memory of Deputy Chief Waters
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) -The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department honored the memory of Deputy Chief James Waters Friday morning.
The department’s southwest district gymnasium has now been renamed “Jim’s Gym.”
You may remember Waters died back in July after being hurt in a car crash.
IMPD says Waters and his family regularly played basketball in the gymnasium.
Mayor Joe Hogsett was on hand Friday morning to help dedicate the gym to Waters.
