Homeland security camera could aid in double homicide investigation
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — While few details have been released about the fatal shooting that left two people dead early Monday morning, 24-Hour News 8 found out a security camera stands not far away from the homicide scene.
The Marion County coroner identified the victims in an early Monday morning double shooting at Phillips 66, near 34th Street and Keystone Avenue.
The victims are 26-year-old Trevon Harris, and Toshika Boler, 32.
According to IMPD, the victims were shot as they sat inside a car. Police believe the victims were targeted.
Police indicated there were several cameras near the scene of the deadly shootings.
24-Hour News 8 discovered a Indianapolis Homeland Security camera at the intersection of the double murder.
It is unclear if images of the shooter were caught on camera.
It is estimated that Indianapolis has about 100 cameras in the area strategically placed around the city.
Civilian employees and some IMPD officers monitor the cameras.
