Columbine School shooting survivor raises money for grief counseling service

CARMEL, Ind. (WISH) – A survivor of the Columbine School shooting is helping raise money for a grief counseling service that once helped her.

Noel Sudano came to Indiana to study at Depauw University after graduating from Columbine.

The service is Brooke’s Place and she Sudano spoke at the breakfast Thursday morning.

The room was room of hundreds of people looking to support the service on National Children’s Grief Awareness Day.

The organization provides grief counseling and support groups for young people dealing with loss.

Sudano has since returned to Littleton, Colorado to work as a school counselor at the very sight of that tragic moment in history.
