$5,000 reward offered after 20 guns stolen from Greenwood store

FRANKLIN, Ind. (Daily Journal) — A reward up to $5,000 is being offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and a foundation after 20 guns were stolen from a Greenwood gun store.

The theft happened early Monday morning at Elmore’s Firearms, 520 State Road 135, part of a commercial area at the intersection with Fairview Road.

Store video showed one person came into the store and stole 16 handguns and four long guns, said Suzanne Dabkowski, an ATF spokeswoman.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact Greenwood police or the ATF. The federal office is offering a $2,500 reward for information, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation is matching that reward, Dabkowski said.
