Temp swings return this week

The weather pattern will be fairly quiet, but there will be some temp swings heading into Thanksgiving.

THIS EVENING: The wind will stay gusty, but it will be an otherwise uneventful evening, with temps in the 40s.

OVERNIGHT: The wind will help keep temperatures up, so it won’t be as cold as this morning was. Lows will drop only into the upper 30s.

TUESDAY: As we mentioned, a cold front will race into the state late in the day. Before that happens, we will see temps climb into the lower 50s. When the front arrives late afternoon and early evening, there could be a few rain showers, and NE parts of our area may see a flurry or a brief snow shower, but nothing that should cause any problems.

WEDNESDAY TRAVEL WEATHER: Weather looks nice, but chilly for Thanksgiving travel on Wednesday. Temps will only climb into the upper 30s with mostly cloudy skies, and a cool NW wind.

8-DAY FORECAST: Thanksgiving will be dry and a bit milder, with highs in the mid 40s. Friday will see another big temperature jump into the middle 50s. Another cold front arrives Saturday and will bring a bit of a chill late Saturday and Sunday.
