Serious crash under investigation in Madison County

MADISON COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) — Officials in Madison County are investigating following a Monday morning crash.

It happened near the intersection of State Road 13 and State Road 37 just before 6 a.m. when officials were dispatched out to a two-vehicle crash.

Witnesses revealed that Dodge Stratus was driving erratically before it struck a tractor-trailer. The roof of the Dodge had to be removed due to the driver being pinned in the vehicle.

The driver of the Dodge, Drake Cone, was later taken to a hospital to treat multiple injuries and was considered to be in serious but stable condition and was later released.

The driver of the semi was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
