Man wanted for shooting of a woman during attempted OfferUp robbery
SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — Officials with the Speedway Police Department are seeking the public’s assitance in locating a man they believe shot a woman during an attempted robbery.
The shooting happened just after 10:30 p.m. on November 7 at a Thornton’s gas station in the 5300 block of West 10th Street.
Upon arrival, officers found a 30-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound to her backside. She later told officers that she was shot during an attempted robbery during an OfferUp sale. Her injuries were considered to be non-life threatning.
Luis Ruiz-Diaz, 25, faces felony charges of attempted armed robbery with a deadly weapon and battery with a deadly weapon resulting in injury.
