INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis community is still sharing their memories of actor and singer Jim Nabors, who died Thursday. He was 87

“He says himself – he’s just a redneck who became a Hoosier by accident,”¬†WISH-TV racing analyst Derek Daly said.

Daly stopped by Daybreak to share his memories of Nabors, including interviewing him at his home in Hawaii.

“How many people have two careers where they become iconic? [There’s] a little trepidation when you walk in. [He] could not have been nicer,” Daly said.
