INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Several people were taken to the hospital overnight following two separate east side fires.
The first happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Cottages at Fall Creek.
When fire officials came to the apartment, they found that the building was halfway engulfed in flames.
One person was taken to the hospital with possible burn injuries, while a firefighter was taken the hospital as well with slight injuries.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
A second fire occurred 15 minutes later at another apartment on the east side on Williamsburg Court near 46th Street and Arlington Avenue.
Officials said the fire damaged four apartment units.
One person was injured and taken to the hospital.
The cause for that fire hasn’t been determined either.
