Kids help first lady Holcomb decorate Statehouse for holidays

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Statehouse is decorated for the holidays.

Students from several elementary schools joined first lady Janet Holcomb and the family’s dog, Henry, to decorate the Statehouse Christmas tree on Monday.

“It’s called Tree Trim. It’s a tradition here at the Statehouse that we have kids from around the state, and several elementary schools that have joined us, and then we have the choir from Pike High School, who performed today,” Janet Holcomb said.

The Department of Natural Resources was also on hand for students to learn about the state’s natural resources.
