Add a touch of history to your holiday festivities

Learn how to make Holiday Spiced Pecans with Chris Knoll, University Club of Indianapolis Executive Chef! Do this, all while learning about the holiday events at the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site this month, with Delia Robertson, Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site Events Manager.

Experiences make some of the most memorable gifts, and these events will make timeless family traditions. The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site is offering a variety of unique interactive performances and tours this December.

A Candlelight Evening on Delaware Street

Get to know the historic architecture on Delaware St. The history of the homes will be shared, and afterwards an elegant dinner at the University Club, of which President Harrison was a member, will be served to guests.

Time: 5:30-9:00 p.m.

Holiday Tours of President Harrison’s Mansion

Beginning the day after Thanksgiving, the mansion will be decorated for Christmas and will be open for tours from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. See the home of the First Family in its holiday splendor and discover past Christmas traditions.

‘Twas the Night Before

Meet some of Dickens’ most famous characters, as well as figures from folklore and tradition at this unique theater experience. Written by local playwright, James Trofatter, ‘Twas the Night Before is a heartwarming holiday event. Guests can sip hot cider, enjoy holiday treats all while making memories.

Date: December 15, 16, 17

Time: Performance begin every half hour and last approximately 60 minutes
