Cold here to stay for a while, flurries Wednesday?

Colder air has arrived, and more shots of cold air are in store over the next eight days.

THIS EVENING: Skies will clear out this evening, and temps will slowly fall. The wind will make it feel chilly, but will also keep the bottom from falling out on the temps. Most places will stay in the 30s.

OVERNIGHT: Skies will stay clear and lows will drop into the mid to upper 20s.

WEDNESDAY FLURRIES: A weak disturbance will swing into the state in the afternoon and evening hours. This may squeeze out a few flurries. otherwise it will be quiet. Temps may sneak back into the low 40s.

ACTIVE 8-DAY FORECAST: With the arctic express open, several waves of energy will reinforce cold air, and bring some light snow along with it. The 1st will arrive late Friday into Saturday, the second looks to arrive late Monday into Tuesday. Neither look overly impressive on snowfall at the moment, but minor accumulations can’t be ruled out. More focus on that in the days ahead.
