INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Colts placed outside linebacker John Simon on injured reserve. The move was announced in a team statement.

Simon was a nine-game starter for the Colts, making 42 tackles and recording three sacks. Simon also had one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

This was Simon’s first season with the team, signing as a free agent in March.

The former Ohio State standout was a fourth round draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.
