Indianapolis Zoo lit up for 49th Christmas at the Zoo

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indianapolis Zoo is all lit up for the 49th Christmas at the Zoo.

New this year at Christmas at the Zoo is Santa’s Village under the Bicentennial Pavilion. The village includes Santa’s Study, where kids can meet Santa and take pictures with him; Mrs. Claus’ kitchen, where visitors can decorate cookies; The Snowflakery mirror, a fun Christmas maze.

Thousands more lights have also been added this year.

Visitors can also see animals including wintertime dogs, penguins and reindeer.

The zoo will be open for Christmas at the Zoo Dec. 6-10, Dec. 13-23 and Dec. 26-30. The zoo opens each day at noon and Christmas at the Zoo will go from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with extended hours until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
