Second Plainfield officer suspended following training incident

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (WISH) — I-Team 8 has now learned another Plainfield police officer was suspended after an incident during training in November.

Last week, we showed video and reported Captain Carri Weber was placed on paid administrative leave after telling another officer he had “white male privilege.”

The Plainfield Board of Police Commissioners is investigating the event for conduct unbecoming an officer.

On Wednesday, it was announced that the other officer involved in the outburst was also suspended.

Captain Scott Arndt was suspended for two days without pay for conduct unbecoming an officer.

The board will not just be considering this incident, but Captain Weber’s disciplinary history in the last six month during its investigation.

I-Team 8 will be at Thursday night’s meeting and will have updates that evening.
