Local reaction to Time’s 2017 ‘Person of the Year’

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – On Wednesday, Time magazine announced their choice for the 2017 “Person of the Year.” They selected the”MeToo Movement.”

The movement is in reference to sexual assault victims and making their past, traumatic experiences known on social media using #MeToo.

Kristen Pulice, the COO of the Indiana Coalition to End Sexual Assault and Aly Austin from Families First though The United Way stopped by Daybreak on Thursday.

They both talked about what the magazine’s choice means to them, their organizations and how its affect on victims of sexual assault.
