2 in custody following discovery of meth lab inside Noblesville hotel

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) — Two people are in custody after police believe they were operating a meth lab inside a hotel.

The incident began just after 4 a.m. when Noblesville officials responded to the Courtyard by Marriott in the 17000 block of Foundation Drive in reference to a report of smoke.

Upon arrival, fire officials determined the source of the smoke was coming from the 4th floor.

After entering the room, police arrested 51-year-old Katrina Saunders and 39-year-old Richard Pridgeon for operating what was believed to be a meth lab.

Saunders faces preliminary charges of dealing in methamphetamine, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a syringe.

Pridgeon faces charges of possession of syringe and visiting a common nuisance.
