Former Colts player Marlin Jackson gives back

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A group of elementary school students from Pennsylvania were in town for Thursday night’s Colts game — all thanks to former Indianapolis Colts player Marlin Jackson.

The 45 sixth-graders from Jackson’s elementary school in Sharon, Pennsylvania, not only took in Thursday night’s game but learned some life lessons as well.

The trip is part of Jackson’s Fight for Life Foundation.

Each year, Jackson invites students to come to Indiana for several days to participate in a learning program called Building Dreams.

“I’ve actually been doing this longer than I played football. This is 10 years that we’ve been doing this field trip, we’ve been expanding it each and every year, so these kids will be out here for the entire weekend. This is just the first part of it, kicking it off with Thursday night football with the Indianapolis Colts,” Jackson said.

Jackson says he continues to bring the students to Indianapolis because “the only way to change their perspective is to change their view.”
