Lights at the Brickyard back at IMS this year

SPEEDWAY, Ind. (WISH) — 2.5 million lights is what you can expect to see if you drive through the Lights at the Brickyard inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This is the second year for the Lights at the Brickyard and organizers say it is bigger and better than last year. This year there are a couple of changes. This year, the course of lights has expanded from 1.7 miles to two miles long.

The route will travel through the IMS infield and along the front stretch of the historic oval and cross the famous Yard of Bricks start/finish line.

Organizers said there are 40 different scenes and 500 displays for people to see along the track route.

Admission is $25 per car Monday through Wednesday and then $30 per car on Thursday through Saturday.

Lights can be seen Sunday through Thursday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. along with Friday and Saturday is 6 p.m. to p.m. The display will go through Dec. 30.
