INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – A rescue operation in the heart of Hendricks County cares for animals when no one else can.

A Critter’s chance in Avon won’t turn away any exotic or farm animal, big or small.

It’s been up and running for more than 10 years, but leaders there say people are hastily buying pets they can’t handle.

Birds, pigs, nearly 50 rabbits and several foxes fill the habitats on the rescue property.
