FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) – A 20-year-old was sentenced to seven years in prison Monday after a jury found him guilty last month on a single count of child molesting.

Authorities said after Buskirk was kicked out of his home in May 2016, he stayed with other family members, during which he molested a girl. The victim testified about the incidents, which were said to have occurred during the month Buskirk stayed at the residence of the other family members.

The judge recommended Buskirk receive a psychological evaluation. The sentence also required Buskirk to obtain his high school equivalency diploma.
