Henry County traffic stop results in drug arrest

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. (WISH) – An early Wednesday morning traffic stop in Henry County resulted in a drug arrest.

According to the Indiana State Police, a  westbound Ford Fusion on I-70, near the 131 mile marker, was clocked doing 94 mph in a 70 mph zone at approximately 12:30 a.m.

The officer on scene, after making contact with the driver and the two passengers, discovered that no one possessed a valid driver’s license. An subsequent investigation lead to the discovery of pills thought to be Oxycodone and drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Ebonie Jackson, was arrested and transported to the Henry County Jail. Jackson faces preliminary charges for possession of a narcotic drug, drug paraphernalia, a schedule II controlled substance and driving while a suspended license.
