Pagano discusses Luck, emails with quarterback

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Colts head coach Chuck Pagano spoke to the media on Tuesday ahead of Saturday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Among the topics of his remarks was the health of franchise quarterback Andrew Luck.

Luck, who has not played this season and has since been placed on injured reserve, had been in Europe seeking treatment on his injured throwing shoulder.

When asked about Luck’s health, Pagano mentioned that he has not seen Luck and the Colts’ doctors, trainers have not yet evaluated him since Europe.

Pagano was also asked about Luck’s emotional state and mentioned recent email correspondence between Luck and himself.

“Yeah, I mentioned last week. We had an email correspondence and I thought he sounded great reading between the lines. Said he’s in a good place. Eager to get back. Again, until I see him face-to-face, my conversation was, ‘How are you doing? How’s Nicole? How’s your body? How’s your mind? How are you feeling?’ ‘All good.’’How’s your family? Are you in a good place?’ ‘Yup.’ ‘Okay.’” Pagano said.
