Crews respond to fire at One America building
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Crews responded to an early Thursday morning fire downtown.
The fire happened in the One America building just after 4 a.m.
According to the Indianapolis Fire Department, firefighters discovered a “significant amount of fire” behind a wall in the Sahm’s Place restaurant located on the first floor of the building. The restaurant did sustain both water and fire damage and is expected to be closed Thursday.
Crews were able to get the fire under control just before 4:30 a.m.
IFD says there were no injuries due to the fire. Damage has been estimated at $50,000.
The One America building is expected to be open today.
