It’s not too early to start prepping for tax season

We are just a couple of weeks away from mailboxes filling up with 2017 financial documents and reports needed to file an accurate tax return. Once you have gathered all your tax forms and files, the next step is heading to your tax professional’s office to complete the filing.

But what would you rather do with that precious time? Meg Sutton, Director of Client Experience, H&R Block, helps us sort it all out!

According to a survey of 3,000 Americans commissioned by H&R Block, 41% of those surveyed who go to an office to have their taxes prepared would rather spend that time with friends and family. The second most popular answer was sleep (15%), closely followed by binge watch TV shows (14%).

The survey also found only 9% of Americans are blending expert tax help and technology. Those 9% don’t step foot into an office but currently get their taxes done by a tax professional. But an innovative preparation option is likely to see that number rise in the New Year, which could mean more free time to actually do what taxpayers want during tax season.

Tax expert Meg Sutton is available via satellite to share additional survey results, tax tips and new options for time crunched Americans who need tax preparation help.About Meg Sutton:
