INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – It’s nearly time to pop your cork, New Year’s Eve is almost here and we all know that means champagne.

Wine expert Jim Gooley stopped by Midday to talk about the bubbly stuff.

He talked about the history of the drink, who is credited with its creation, the average speed of a popped cork and how champagne gets its bubbles.
