Walk-in shooting victim dies at northeast side hospital
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A shooting victim died at a northeast side hospital Sunday night.
Officers from Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called to Community Hospital North around 7:39 p.m. for a report of a walk-in person shot. The male victim arrived in critical condition but later died.
He has since been identified as 20-year-old James Slaughter. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Police believed a possible location for the shooting was the intersection of Biscayne Road and Bel Air Drive, near 38th Street and Post Road. No suspect description was given on Sunday night.
