Crews respond to east side house fire
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Crews responded to a house fire on the city’s east side Thursday morning.
Firefighters were called to a residence in the 2800 block of Forest Manor Avenue at approximately 6:15 a.m.
A male firefighter fell through a hole in the house, a female firefighter also partially fell into a hole while battaling the blaze and a second male firefighter fell through a window.
One firefighter was transported to the hospital. The firefighter’s condition is unknown at this time. However, at the time of transportation the firefighter was alert and talking.
A second firefighter was also taken to the hospital with a knee injury. A third firefighter was treated and released at the scene.
