Temperatures were not as hot today and after some torrential early AM rain, the weather has settled down a bit.
THIS EVENING: We can’t rule out an evening thunderstorm, but it will be quieter than yesterday. Cloudiness will continue through the evening.
OVERNIGHT: We’ll continue to look out for a wandering shower or thunderstorm tonight with temps staying mild in the uppers 60’s.
FRIDAY: We will see hot temperatures sizzling into the 90’s and a partly cloudy day so keep reapplying the sunscreen if you plan on an outdoorsy day Friday. Humidity will be uncomfortably high. Throughout the weekend so we can’t rule out a daytime pop up thunderstorms on Friday either, especially if the sun is out and shining bright. Friday night temps will stay fairly mild in the low 70’s which will keep the mugginess high.
WEEKEND FORECAST: Big changes begin to happen starting Saturday where we will have another hot and humid day with temperatures hovering around the 90 degree mark. Scattered thunderstorms will begin to develop throughout the day on Saturday with a marginal (1 out of 5 on the severe scale) risk of severe weather in the northwest portion of Indiana. Temperatures will stay very warm going into Saturday night staying in the low 70’s. A low pressure system will move through the area Sunday which will bring in a round of thunderstorms, but will also usher in temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than what we’ve been seeing towards the end of this week.
NEXT WEEK: Monday and Tuesday will bring a little bit of relief from the hot temperatures we’ve been seeing, with high temperatures in the upper 70’s and low 80’s respectively. We won’t be looking at much in the form of rain chances, if any, on Monday and Tuesday. The rest of the week will trend to warmer temperatures and increased rain chances as the week goes on with temperatures returning to the upper 80’s by the end of the week with thunderstorm chances returning Wednesday.
