Extended sunny streak will provide ample outdoor decorating opportunities

After a bumpy start to the weekend, the strong storms are moving out and on the back side of this cold front, arctic air is draining in.

The cold air is changing some lingering rain showers over to a wintry mix of rain, sleet and snow flurries, but it will not create any travel issues as the ground is still too warm.

As skies break up a bit tonight, overnight lows will plummet into the upper 20s by daybreak tomorrow, so if you’re headed out early Sunday, bundle up!

Highs tomorrow afternoon will only top out in the mid to upper 30s in most areas, so keep the winter coat handy all day long.

Tomorrow will be the start of a long, sunny streak here in central Indiana. There will be ample opportunities to get outdoor holiday decorations and Christmas lights up prior to Thanksgiving or even just after the holiday.

Temperatures will go back and forth this week, but will remain well below average through Friday before we see a brief warm-up this Saturday… unfortunately that will be associated with our next weathermaker.

Rain returns Saturday and most of us have a good chance to see more wet weather. On the back side of that storm system, similar to this weekend, lingering rain will change to a wintry mix by Sunday as colder air moves back in.
