Great weather this week for outdoor chores and holiday travel

Skies have finally cleared out, but while it will provide free vitamin d through the daylight hours, it will make for cold overnights this coming week.

We’ll quickly drop into the mid 20s under clear skies tonight, so bundle up if you’re headed out late or early tomorrow morning.

We’ll hold on to sunny skies tomorrow with warmer highs near the 50 degree mark.

We’ll have ample opportunities this week to take care of outdoor chores, be it taking care of leaves that have been tosses around the past few days or hanging up the outdoor Christmas lights before the Thanksgiving holiday. Our only chances for precipitation through the “work week” will be Tuesday as a weak cold front dives in, though chances will be slim.

High temperatures behind the front will drop into the upper 30s by mid-week, making for a cold start to the Drumstick Dash, which (if I’m lucky) I’ll finish quickly enough to get some turkey and sweet potato casserole before the rest of my family eats my share. Highs for Thanksgiving Day will top out in the low 50s after the cold start.

Our second rain chance, again a limited one, will dive in through the first half of the weekend with a brief accompanying warm-up. Enjoy the 50s Saturday because we’re right back into the low to mid 20s Sunday and Monday morning of next week.
