Cloudy skies will remain overhead through this evening. Areas of patchy fog are likely to persist through the rest of the day today, making for reduced visibility when driving. Temperatures this evening will gradually decline into the upper 20s and dry weather can be expected through your dinner plans and the late evening hours.
Wintry precipitation will begin to move in after midnight, with most of Central Indiana likely seeing freezing rain. Areas to north and west of the Indy Metro will likely see sleet and our extreme northwestern counties will see snow. Regardless of which form of precipitation falls in your area, road conditions are likely to be slick for your Sunday morning plans, so drive cautiously if you plan to head out and hit the road!
All in all, while this won’t be the icepocalypse or winter storm of the year, the timing will be bad for the Sunday morning plans with slick roadways in place. Expect less than 1″ of snow in most areas and less than 0.10″ of ice.
